Ceramics:

Pamela DelDuco is a full-time resident of Smith Island.  She is the founder and Coordinator of the Smith Island Art Festival.  In her youth she was greatly influenced by her paternal grandmother's painted ceramic and glass bottles.  She gave Pam a Lancers wine bottle that she had painted a landscape on and turned it into a lamp.  Her Grandmother saw her granddaughter's interest and gave her a book to teach here how to draw birds.  Pam's parents were also very supportive and got her started in a hobby ceramic class.

Pam's husband encouraged her to work on her ceramics and bought her a kiln. In 2005 they found Smith Island and moved down.  In 2016 she started the Smith Island Art Festival. May 2018, she took a photography workshop with Jay P. Fleming on Smith Island, and the pictures she took have influenced some of her ceramics.

Pam had her ceramics in the Somerset County Arts Council's Smith Island Artisans Exhibit in Crisfield Maryland, and was featured on WBOC16's Delmarva/Life.  Her ceramics are for sale at Bayside Inn Restaurant, Smith Island Bakery, and Somerset County Arts Council's gift shop.
