Next Saturday on May 28th, the Smith Island Museum will be hosting a cake making demonstration and a book signing with Mary Ada Marshall and Jay P. Fleming.
At the rec center in Ewell, Mary Ada will be showing participants how to put together the iconic layer cake that she has perfected. Following the cake making demo I will be signing copies of ISLAND LIFE at the Smith Island Museum - each book purchased during this event will come be imprinted with a commemorative stamped showing that the book was signed on Smith Island.
If you plan to make a day trip out of this event - round trip transportation from the mainland is available. The ferry will leave Crisfield, Maryland at 12:30pm and depart Smith Island around 4:30pm.
